Emma Evelein & Remy Tilburg


Biography Remy Tilburg

Remy Tilburg (32) is a Dutch dancer who  graduated from the Hogeschool van de Kunsten Amsterdam towards Urban/Contemporary and Music Theater in 2015. Before that he trained in the 5’oclock class led by Jocelyn Bergland. Since 2014 he has appeared in productions by Conny Janssen danst, including ‘mirror mirror, ‘Inside out’ and ‘framed’. He was also seen in Coppélia by English National Ballet, Don’t Hit Mama, Nike commercials, worked with ISH dance collective. Remy also works as a photographer and model and can be seen in several commercials. Remy also choreographs for music videos for artists, including Jeangu Macrooy, the entry of the Eurovision Song Contest 2021 Rotterdam. In addition, Remy has set up his own workshop track, called IDD, in which he trains promising dancers in different dance styles and takes them into entrepreneurship as a dancer. For this, he invites dozens of choreographers from home and abroad every year. In 2022, Remy had a choreographic internship with NDT.

Biography Emma Evelein

Emma Evelein is a dancer, choreographer and director. She graduated from the Hogeschool van de Kunsten Amsterdam towards urban/contemporary dance and physical theater in 2015. She then danced in companies in Europe and Israel. In 2017, Emma started her own company for choreography and direction, for both film and theater. For works such as “A flood remains,” “Sisters” and “Wolves,” she won international choreographic and directing awards at home and abroad, such as the BIDFF 2018 audience awards, Kurt Jooss Preis 2019 and Cilect 2019. She was also chosen as one of the 5 emerging choreographers in Springboard Danse Montreal 2020. In 2021, she completed choreographic internships at NDT. Her directorial debut, called “Lucid dreaming,” will be released in 2023.
